The New Digital World: Aiming for Access and Inclusion

May 13, 2021
2:05pm - 2:35pm

If there is one silver lining from pandemic it is the spotlight it put on problems in US healthcare. COVID revealed there is still a gap in the access of care and the need to develop for a more inclusive digital world. The pandemic exacerbated existing inequalities faced not only with people of color but also, people living with disabilities. With a big reliance on technology, how do we care for those who we are unable to reach or connect? There is not a one-size solution, so how do we begin to innovate for all people and all populations?

COVID-19 forced us to reshape our lives and to live a more digital-dependent lifestyle. With the convenience and efficiency, we are seeing not only in healthcare but also in other industries, it seems like we are in a new normal. In this session, our esteemed panelists will discuss our road to digital equity and how we need to consider accessibility for everyone from the start.
