To say 2020 put everyone on our toes is an understatement. We have seen trauma from all sides – doctors dealing with burnout from the daily demand of COVID patients, patients spending days or even months in the hospital alone, and the endless number of family members seeing a rapid decline of their loved ones' health. How are healthcare workers grieving and healing from the events the past year? How are patients and loved ones coping?
As people begin to receive their vaccination, the concern of getting COVID decreases, but the emotional scars we all experience will last for a prolonged period. How are organizations not only providing resources for the wellbeing of their staff's behavioral health but also ensuring it is integrated into the fabric of their system? In this session, panelists will discuss the impact trauma has had on everyone and how we can start to move forward and heal.
