From Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. to advocacy in industry, Dr. Zvenyach holds 18 years of expertise in nursing and healthcare policy. Her policy experience spans the Affordable Care Act, Violence Against Women Act, and obesity prevention and treatment policy. Dr. Zvenyach is passionate about increasing access to healthcare for at-risk and underserved populations. Co-founding Nurse Disrupted was purposeful to better improve healthcare by bringing simple and cost-effective health technology to those that are hardest to reach. Dr. Zvenyach’s drive and energy for policy and advocacy is channeled as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Georgetown University where she teaches Health Policy and Advocacy to graduate students at the School of Nursing and Health Studies. She also serves as elected Chair of the Public Policy Council with the Wisconsin Nurses Association and President of the Board of Trustees for the Wisconsin Nurses Political Action Committee. Dr. Zvenyach received a B.S. in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and earned her M.S. in nursing and Ph.D. in health policy at the University of Maryland-Baltimore.
