Michael Hasselberg is an ANCC Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. He received his PhD degree in Health Practice Research from the University of Rochester School of Nursing in 2013 and is a graduate of The Academy for Healthcare Leadership Advancement through the Healthcare Association of New York State and Cornell University. Dr. Hasselberg is currently a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar Fellow. He founded the UR Medicine Telepsychiatry program and Project ECHO®, which leverages technology to provide health care at a distance within rural hospitals, primary care practices, and skilled nursing facilities. He is also the associate director of the UR Medicine Health Lab, a space in which University creates digital products that transform healthcare delivery. Dr. Hasselberg has served as an expert advisor to the Department of Health & Human Services, the National Quality Forum, New York State Department of Health and multiple health systems across the United States on digital health innovation.
