November 10, 2020
12:15pm - 12:35pm

The COVID-19 pandemic thrust healthcare into a virtual mode of delivery. Technology solutions, such as electronic health records and telehealth utilization, are often criticized in connection to the dehumanization of care delivery and to provider burnout.

Intersections between technology, human communication, and relationships pose both opportunities and threats to the quality of healthcare experiences.

This session will present data regarding the rapid expansion of digital tools while considering ways that technology can enable the human connection.

Laura will focus on opportunities to leverage digital healthcare tools while maintaining a strong human connection through skills to strengthen communication and relationships.
