It Takes a Village: The Importance of Collaboration and Communication for Caregivers

February 11, 2021
12:10pm - 12:40pm

If we saw one positive thing from the pandemic, it was how quickly frontline workers banded together to assist not only at their hospital, but also at other hospitals struggling to keep pace with unprecedented demand. We have heard the universal saying, communication is key to any successful team, but at times of chaos, communication is not only key, but imperative. How has the communication change between care team members to ensure nothing falls through the cracks? In addition, with the second surge and the constant demand, how have organizations prioritize the wellbeing of their caregivers. During this panel, we'll hear from caregivers and leaders as they discuss how they collaborated and navigated through 2020; the impact the pandemic had on the caregiver experience; how communication and cooperation has helped the country combat COVID-19.
