What you'll Learn

Workshop participants will explore strategies to address today’s difficult healthcare challenges and deliver value to our patients and other stakeholders. Through dynamic interactions and case study discussions, workshop participants will examine approaches to:

  • Actively engage patients and family members to eliminate preventable harm including healthcare acquired infections
  • Engage pharmacists to prevent medication errors
  • Prevent falls in the ambulatory setting
  • Utilize patient-reported outcomes for short-term and long-term quality improvement
  • Identify and address social determinants of health to positively impact patient quality and safety
  • Incorporate technology to improve quality and patient experience, including virtual health and wearables
