Kanwal Ali (Walle) is a Senior Consultant at Optum in the strategy and growth consulting practice. Formerly, Walle was a program director in the Information Technology Division at Cleveland Clinic. She was responsible for leading initiatives related to transformation, innovation, digital strategy, and emerging technologies within the health system along with developing strong partnerships for collaboration with payers, providers, and leading technology companies.
Currently, she is supporting various initiatives related to strategic planning, consumerism, along with strategic pricing with clients across the healthcare landscape. She believes that by truly understanding the people and communities we serve, we can create innovative and high-impact healthcare solutions that drive better outcomes.
To better support the needs of clinicians and meet the demands of a rapidly changing healthcare technology landscape, the Cleveland Clinic recognized the need to transform the way its technology division worked and delivered services. To this end, it greatly improved team dynamics by leveraging unique practices such as having teams create social contracts, participate in retrospectives every two weeks, and plan their work and deliverables collectively as a group.
This session will explain how such collaborations and cohesion on teams has not only improved employee satisfaction, but also created empowered teams where everyone feels a sense of shared accountability and supports each other in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
