Dr. Rosenberg attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at University of Nevada Reno in 2006. Following residency, Dr. Rosenberg started a traditional internal medicine practice in southern NM. After two years in practice, he became the first hospitalist in southern NM in 2008. Dr. Rosenberg developed his own hospitalist group, which he then merged with Apogee Physicians in February 2010. In June 2011, Dr. Rosenberg became Apogee Physician's 4th Division Director and eventually Vice President of Clinical Operations in 2014. Much of Dr. Rosenberg's practice is now focused on helping doctors to provide the best patient experience to every patient every time.
Apogee Physicians is the nation’s largest hospitalist group, and in this session, Vice President of Clinical Operations Joshua Rosenberg shares the organization’s novel approach to patient experience. This includes understanding the correlation to patient safety and focusing on how the behaviors of doctors, nurses and everyone else in the hospital influences a patient’s perception of care.
Importantly, as Dr. Rosenberg will address, it’s critical that organizations help physicians understand the relationship between patient experience and patient outcomes. He’ll also demonstrate ways physicians can work within their hospital to improve the patient experience and gain nurse buy-in and support.
