Amy Szabo, BSN, RN, BS Ed, MBA, paramedic, is the program manager for the Cleveland Clinic Our Voice: Healthcare Partner program and Human Centered Design. Amy’s professional interests include elevating patient and family advisory councils to adhere to collaboration, transparency, and co-design. Her recent work has focused on the enhancement and further collaboration of patients and families, as well as to equip council facilitators with the best skillsets to elicit the co-design, transparency and human centered approach to patient experience initiatives. She is an expert in continuous improvement, lean six sigma.
Cleveland Clinic and MetroHealth patient and family centered care professionals, with key members of their PFAC's (Patient and Family Advisory Councils) will partner with attendees to message 'Moving Forward Together- Crayons, Conversations, and Community' by engaging messaging of relationship centered care. Following a brief introduction to CC and MetroHealth's relationship engagement initiatives, speed-networking at roundtables facilitated by patients and PFAC leaders, will allow for: crayons, conversation, and community.
This Cleveland Clinic Continuous Improvement breakout session will introduce elements of a process confirmation board and share how its application improved the patient experience. Included in this session will be a demonstration of how to build and use a process confirmation board to confirm adherence to a standard and achieve a desired goal.
