Smarter Care for All
The HIMSS Smarter Care for All symposium will dive deep into social determinants of health (SDOH) and share how leading healthcare organizations are using digital technologies to transform the patient experience and deliver better outcomes for our most vulnerable populations.
The unique challenges facing these patients include poor access and utilization of healthcare services, lack of preventive health strategies, and ineffective chronic disease management.
Many of these challenges arise from social and behavioral factors, as well as an organization’s inadequate understanding of these patient factors. Patients are often more at-risk if they lack an advocate or transitions of care. The result is often poorly coordinated care that does not address the patient’s key goals for healing.
Smarter Care for All will help attendees gain a deeper understanding of how leading healthcare organizations engage providers and vulnerable patients to develop effective strategies to promote health and wellness. Expert speakers will share best practices and lessons learned on how to maximize the effectiveness of current technologies in patient engagement – as well as the human role in connecting care.
Key takeaways include:
Healthcare leaders at the forefront of the global patient experience movement will address which systems, tools and insights revolutionize the role of the patient and the caregiver. We’ll explore patient perspectives and clinical considerations to understand how empathy and innovation must be incorporated as integral pillars to deliver the best clinical, physical and emotional experience in healthcare.
