Patient Journey Map Deepens Understanding

May 14, 2019
11:35am - 12:15pm
Room 21

As our digital worlds continue to expand, patients and caregivers have access to more information than ever before, and also have higher expectations of their healthcare providers. Children's Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW) wanted to better understand the complex journey families take when entering their emergency department, so they decided to examine the experience from an outside-in perspective.

In this session, CHW will share a behind-the-scenes look at the steps they took to create a Patient Journey Map. Join Christopher Neuharth, director of digital health & experience, and Jeremy White, senior user experience strategist, as they share practical takeaways from CHW's journey mapping process, as well as tips for hospitals looking to use similar tools to develop a deeper understanding of their patients.
