May 14, 2019
10:45am - 11:25am
Room 22

Hosted by The Journal of Patient Experience, this session will explore the opportunities and challenges associated with academic applications in the field of patient experience.

Growing interest and opportunities in the field reflect a shift toward value-based healthcare and the importance of measuring outcomes that truly matter to patients. As an emerging field, patient experience leaders benefit by considering application of more academically rigorous research approaches.

Participants will:

  • Discover strategies for measuring outcomes that matter to patients (and systems).
  • Recognize emerging trends and “hot topics” for consideration.
  • Consider fundamentals of publishing and the academic review process.
  • Identify publications with aligned interests in publishing patient experience results.
